Yes — and arguably one of the best in the ERP sector right now. Pakistan has far more businesses adopting Odoo than there are skilled consultants and developers to implement it. Odoo functional consultants earn PKR 80,000–200,000+ per month. Developers with Odoo specialisation have both local job options and strong demand from international clients for remote work. The Odoo ecosystem in Pakistan is early-stage, which means those who build expertise now will be the senior leaders of a growing market in 3–5 years.

An Odoo functional consultant maps a client's business processes, configures Odoo modules to match those processes, manages data migration from old systems, trains staff, and supports the system go-live. The role is consultative and client-facing — you need strong communication and analytical skills, but deep programming is not required. Most functional consultants have backgrounds in business administration, supply chain, accounting, or engineering.

Not for the functional track. Many of Pearl Solutions' best functional consultants have backgrounds in business administration, accounting, industrial engineering, or supply chain management. What matters is analytical thinking, the ability to understand and redesign business processes, and strong communication skills. The technical track (Odoo developer) does benefit from a CS or software engineering background, though self-taught Python developers with the right practical experience are also considered.

A functional consultant configures Odoo using the standard interface — setting up modules, workflows, pricing rules, reports, and user access. No coding required. A technical consultant (developer) writes Python code to build custom modules, modify existing ones, and create integrations with external systems. In most projects, both roles are involved — the functional consultant defines what is needed, the developer builds what cannot be done through configuration alone.
