How to Choose an Odoo Partner in Pakistan — What to Verify Before You Sign.
Odoo User

Short answer: To choose an Odoo partner in Pakistan, verify seven things: the partner is listed on odoo.com/partners; it has references in your industry you can call; the certified people on your project are named; its client retention is stated; it separates implementation, licence and support costs; it has a written go-live and support plan; and it can show a working system close to yours. Partner tier mostly reflects licence sales volume, not implementation quality.

How to Choose an Odoo Partner in Pakistan — What to Verify Before You Sign

Seven checks you can do yourself, the questions that expose a weak partner, and why the badge matters less than you think.

Most Odoo projects that fail in Pakistan do not fail because of Odoo. They fail because the partner oversold, under-staffed, or disappeared after go-live. The good news: almost everything that predicts a bad partner can be checked before you sign — much of it on Odoo's own website.

How do I choose an Odoo partner in Pakistan?

#CheckWhere to verifyRed flag
1Official listingodoo.com/partners → filter PakistanNot listed, or the listed company name differs from the one on your contract
2References in your industryPartner's odoo.com page + ask for two you can call"Our clients are confidential" for every single one
3Named certified peopleAsk who will be on your project; check their certificationThe certified person sells; someone else delivers
4Client retentionAsk for the figure and how it is measuredNo answer, or "100%"
5Separated costsThe quoteOne number that mixes licence, implementation and support
6Go-live & support planWritten proposalSupport "as needed" with no response times
7A working demo near your businessMeetingSlides and a generic demo database only

Does the Odoo partner tier matter?

Less than most buyers think. Odoo's partner levels are driven largely by how much Odoo licence revenue a partner generates, plus certified staff and retention. A high tier tells you a partner sells a lot of licences; it does not tell you whether they understand a textile mill's costing or a distributor's warehouses. Read the full explanation in Odoo partner levels explained — and then weigh tier below checks 2, 3 and 7.

What should I ask an Odoo partner in the first meeting?

  1. "Show me a system you built for a business like mine — not a demo database."
  2. "Who exactly will work on my project, and are they certified?"
  3. "What went wrong on your last difficult project, and what did you do?"
  4. "What is your client retention, and how do you measure it?"
  5. "After go-live, what is your response time — and in which language?"
  6. "Split this quote into implementation, licence, customisation and support."

Question 3 is the most revealing. A partner who has never had a difficult project either has not done many, or is not telling you the truth.

Go to odoo.com/partners, filter by Pakistan, and confirm the company is listed under the same legal name that appears on your contract. The partner's odoo.com page also shows its published references.

Less than most buyers assume. Odoo partner levels are driven largely by licence revenue generated, plus certified staff and retention. Tier does not show whether a partner understands your industry, so weigh industry references, named certified people and a working demo above the badge.
